Cardiac examination to detect murmurs and/or arrhythmia’s

Echocardiography – comprehensive cardiac ultrasound

  • This examines the structure and function of the heart

  • Determination of the cause of a murmur with evaluation of the valves and cardiac chamber size

  • ECG during the cardiac ultrasound

  • Determination of risk factors for safety based on the evaluation or recommendation for further diagnostics

ECG

  • ECG examination if there is an arrhythmia present

  • Exercising ECG if indicated – specialized equipment that allows for cardiac ECG during riding or longing.

  • 24-hour ECG if there is cause for concern regarding an arrhythmia
